when ads on medication are played, do you try to listen carefully to the warnings they sneak in at the end?
i don't usually pay attention to any of that sort of stuff, because i think pandering by drug companies is ridiculous. the other day, though, i noticed that a latuda commercial advised users not to consume grapefruit or grapefruit juice and i thought it was really weird. i googled it, and apparently it has to do with grapefruit having high levels of some chemical that's already in the drug composition. totally random, but... the more you know, i guess?
how would you describe your most memorable good deed?
when i was a kid, i used to be obsessed with those little toy and candy dispensers that they have in stores and movie theatres and the like. i would always turn the little nobs and see if anything fell out on the way in. every now and then, i would get lucky. as an adult, if i have any change on me as i'm leaving a store, i make sure to slip quarters in and leave the nob turned part way so some kid can get a surprise.
can you play any instruments?
i played the violin from the time i was in primary school until my junior year of high school. i quit partially because the orchestra teacher was a giant tool, but also because, well, boys.
if you can't, what would you like to learn?
i tried to learn to play the piano once, but like every pleeb out there, all i can play is greensleeves and mary had a little lamb.
if you fronted a band, what would be the name of it? would you be the beyonce of the bunch?
saucy by nature. as for being bey? that's so not my role in life. i'd be more likely to be the kelly rowland of the group.
what is one thing you hide from?
like literally or metaphorically? because i had a dream the other night that i was hiding from a creepy clown who was trying to kill me... does that count? because i'm pretty sure that's something i'd hide from in real life, too.
why did you go and marry such an asshole? every time i see you guys all you do is fight.
okay, look. i've been sitting here for like fifteen minutes trying to think of the nicest way to say this, because i hardly know you but you're good friends with my friends and you're not totally awful, so i don't think that automatically being a raging bitch monster is the correct response. so. thank you for your input, but i don't really think it's any of your business what i do with my personal life. i don't go around making assumptions about the things you do or the people you associate with based on vague impressions made in passing.
also what's your favorite color?
What's the best thing you've done in the last year? What's the worst?
in the past year? i think the best thing i did was buying fifty boxes of girl scout cookies, because not only was i supporting a good cause, but i also wound up with an abundance of cookies. however, now that i'm moving, i'm faced with the issue of having thirty something boxes of girl scout cookies and not knowing what to do with them. so maybe it was a double edged sword.
What five words (or phrase) would your best friend use to describe you to someone that had never met you?
"cute and totally nuts." or something to that effect, anyway. it seems to sum everything up.
Do you believe all people are inherently good?
i believe that people are products of their circumstances. good and bad, like spelling words with an 'ou' and then learning to drop the 'u' because you're in america now, goddamnit, are learnt behaviors. some people are predisposed to certain traits that can influence these behaviors in one way or another, sure. but inherently? no. it's not like we pop out screeching into the world, totally angelic.
You're only allowed one food to have for breakfast for the rest of your life, what is it?
what the hell sort of evil, sadistic question is this? i don't like it and i refuse to answer it on principle, beatrix.
if you were the angel of death, what would be your first mission?
it would be a personal vendetta exacted against your evil orange dictator in chief and his russian lover. and maybe that douche in chechnya, just for good measure. i like to think that i'd be doing the world a favor.
are you an pessimist or optimistic?
if you were your favorite food, what would it be?
if i were it? well that would be awkward as fuck. but chicken satay with peanut sauce... and now i'm hungry. thanks a lot.
in what ways have you grown?
well, for starters, i like to think that i'm a little less of an arrogant bitch than i was a few years back. i try to learn from the things that have happened in my life and some days are better than others.
what philosophy do you follow in your day to day?
there's a quote in alice in wonderland that always stuck out to me, "it’s no use going back to yesterday, because i was a different person then."
Your home, containing everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be? Why?
so wait... in this scenario, do i not have time to try and get to the fire extinguisher and take care of this thing first before panicking?
Favorite ice cream flavor?
the ben and jerry's with the salted caramel core thing... at least this week.
Best Halloween costume you've ever had?
but i've had so many good ones! i always default to jeannie from i dream of jeannie when i'm in a pinch, though.
If you could live inside the world of any book, which would it be and why?
i always sort of wanted to go to narnia. or maybe the four lands. the four lands could be really cool.
If you could trade places with any one person for a day, who would it be and what would you do?
i don't like the idea of any freaky friday scenarios, honestly...
Blue or purple?
blue.
Red or pink?
red.
Black or white?
black.
Top or bottom?
and cue my mind in the gutter...
Left or right?
ambidextrous.
My place or yours?
yours, i guess? wait... what are we getting into?
wink.
;)
How much do you love me?
on a scale of one to ten, it's like a billion.
What is one thing you want to do before you die?
honestly? i tend not to think about these sorts of things. i don't have a bucket list, i just try to enjoy things as they happen. i wouldn't mind going to the starkenberger beer pools or maybe the stanley hotel, even at some point, though. i read somewhere they have a channel that plays the shining 24/7 on a loop.
What do you regret?
a lot more things than i want to talk about, but i try not to let those things hold me back from going forward and i think that's the important thing... sometimes it works better than others.
What would be your ideal day?
Favorite video game/book/movie.
okay, all of these are vaguely unfair because there are multiple answers for each section. but. i'll always have a soft spot for the whole bioshock franchise and earth worm jim, because who the fuck thought that was a good idea? and recently i've been playing this game called virginia that's sort of twin peaksy and is really rad, but i wouldn't call it a favorite just yet since i've been sort of slugging through it for weeks now, not that you asked. the last unicorn literally ruined me in both movie and book forms. and as for movies, literally anything that bruce campbell is in is okay by me. but that's just barely scratching the surface of any of it, to be honest.
Tell me a secret.
this isn't my natural hair color.
If you could switch places with any of your friends who would you switch with?
uh, jack, duh. because then i would have the chance to run away into the sunset with you. i'm not sure it counts since he's my cousin, but whatever.
What is something that is out of your comfort zone but you want to try?
there's not a whole lot that's out of my comfort zone, though?
What is important to you?
friends, family, making sure the people i care about are taken care of and doing okay. i'm not an overly complicated person and i don't ask for much. i also appreciate keeping my bills paid and my awesome credit score, because that's about the extent of my ability to function as a reasonable adult.
Describe your ideal soulmate.
someone with a nice ass who will put up with me and tell me i'm pretty even when i look like complete garbage.
If you could change one thing about your past, what would it be?
i'd have left new mexico sooner.
Do you want to build a snowman?
Tell me a story about Jack when he was younger.
i'm not sure i'm at liberty to dispose such embarassing secrets in a public forum. ask me later, though and i can show you incredibly incriminating photos of him when he was going through his awkward preteen phase, though.
If you could live anywhere where would you settle?
i kinda like where i'm at for now, honestly. which sounds kinda dumb and cheesy, but it's true.
What were you like when you were a kid?
i was a fucking terror. i was strong willed, liked to talk back, question everything and i'm pretty sure my parents thought about just giving me away a time or two.
When was the first time that you had beer? What happened?
when i was fifteen and my parents were out of town, i had some friends over and we drank way too much molson (#canada) and i wound up passing out on our front lawn in my underpants. it was pretty great.
What last made you laugh?
i opened the blinds on the window on my back door and the cat tried to jump up to sit on the cill. thing is, there's no cill. so he just jumped into the glass and fell to the floor and looked really fucking confused about what just happened.
Name a movie or movies you can watch over and over?
Have you ever stolen anything from a store or from someone?
only hearts... and a copy of the damned's "phantasmagoria" on cassette from a friend's big brother when i was 12.
Do you take showers in the morning or at night more?
morning? i think? i sort of just shower when i feel gross.
Are you a morning person?
not even a little bit.
Ever broken any bones?
only like all of them.
Name the clothing store you shop at the most?
does target count?
What do you think would be the hardest thing for you to give up on?
considering i'm a stubborn brat? pretty much everything.
Imagine. It is a dark night, you are alone, it is raining outside, you hear someone walking around outside your window. Who do you call? (and it can't be the ghostbusters).
why would i call ghostbusters for a living person stalking around outside of my windows?
How many languages can you speak and what are they?
i actually have a dregee in linguistics and was studying linguistic anthropology when i quit of grad school. i speak french, german, russian, mandarian, elvish and klingon. and i have no shame about the last two.
Why is it considered necessary to nail down the lid of a coffin?
in some cultures, they would nail down the lid of a coffin to make sure that the dead didn't rise up as vampires or revenants. but also because back in the day, it was a way to make sure the lid didn't rattle off in the back of the horse drawn carriage.
What is your full name?

When is your birthday?
june 17th, 1983.
Where were you born?
the magical land up north known as canada. ottowa, ontario, if you wanna split hairs.
What music do you listen to the most?
shitty punk rock, surf rock, bad metal and the occasional indie band that makes me question what i'm doing with my life. pretty much a little of everything as long as it isn't some edm/trance/experimental noise garbage.
What sound or noise do you love?
the sound of the coffee pot percolating in the morning.
Do you exercise regularly? If so, how often?
probably not as often as i should? i can't actually remember the last time i went to the gym.
Do you have tattoos? If yes, how many and where are they?
two, on my side. i tried to get one last month when dani and i went to disney, but... it didn't really pan out.
Ever had surgery? If yes, for what reason?
about four years ago, i had to have a lot of reconstructive surgeries done.
Current friend that you have known the longest?
well, obviously jack. but also dani, who i've known since before i can actually remember and life just kinda kept bringing us back together. we've accepted that we're stuck now.
Name someone you can tell just about anything to?
dani, jack, roxy, you...
Are you a heavy or light sleeper?
i sleep like the dead. except i've been sleeping like garbage recently.
Name 5 of the most important things in your life?
family, food, naps, weed, and probably toilet paper.
On a scale of 1-5 how organized are you?
probably like a three. i feel like i live in a constant state of organized chaos.
Are you sick of answering these questions yet?
Are you going to hit me for sending you all of these?
was this one of the questions you copied and pasted or was this one you actually added? either way, no. i'm not going to hit you.
